Exclusive: Gideon Baah Set to Move to Bigger Club

Two clubs from Norway and another from Finland are reportedly showing strong interest in signing Ghana left back, Gideon Baah, after a stellar debut season with Finnish club FC Honka.

The current Finnish league champions, HJK Helsinki and two other clubs from Norway have the former Asante Kotoko left back as their primary transfer target, after he won best defender and best rookie of the season at his current club after last season’s exploits.

The 22 year old player helped FC Honka to place second in the Veikkausliiga last season with his explosive performances and also contributed in helping the club to qualify for the 2014-2015 UEFA Europa League.

Gideon Baah is set to sign a deal before the coming week as feverish preparations are being made to secure his signature.

Many sports pundits are hoping he could still feature in Black Stars coach Akwasi Appiah’s plans for the upcoming World Cup as the Stars still lack a credible left back who can cement his place in the team.
