Ghanaian left back, Gideon Baah has finally picked up his two award plaques after being adjudged best defender and rookie of the season for the 2013 season in the Finnish League.
He was presented with the plaques upon arrival in Espoo, his team base in Finland after spending the winter break in Ghana.
The 22 year old expressed gratitude to his team-mates and fans for supporting him and making his debut season a success.
“I will like to thank God for this opportunity and also the club for making my loan deal permanent. The fans have also been great and I promise to work harder in the coming seasons to help the club achieve more,” he said.
It was the former Asante Kotoko player’s debut season in the Finnish League in which he played for FC Honka. The defender scored two goals in 29 appearances for the Finnish top flight club, helping the club to finish in second place in the just ended season.
His exploits have helped FC Honka to qualify for the 2014-2015 UEFA Europa League.
